Bio

I graduated from Locust Fork High School in 1998 where I played volleyball, basketball, softball and ran track.  I continued my basketball career for the next four years on a full scholarship to the University of Montevallo. While playing at UM, I received the following awards; 1998-1999 Highest Free Throw Percentage (ranking third overall in the Gulf South Conference), 1999-2000 The Hustle Award, 2000-2001 Team MVP, 2001-2002 Coach's Award.   In the summer of 2002, I was named the head varsity girls softball coach and JV/middle school basketball coach at 3A, Ashville High School.  From there I moved to a 6A school in Birmingham, Thompson High School, as the JV softball and basketball coach.  My first varsity basketball position was offered in 2004 at 7A, Hewitt Trussville High School. In 2006-2007, I was named Girls Basketball Northeast Regional Coach of the Year.  After moving to south Alabama in 2012, I coached four more years at the high school level including time as the head volleyball coach and Female Athletic Director at Baldwin County High School.  In 2014, I finished my M.A. in Instructional Leadership from Samford University with a 4.0 grade point average. I have two sons, Jeremiah and Jacob that both play basketball and baseball.  I accepted the Physical Education position at Denton Magnet School of Technology in January 2017.  The following year, I was named head volleyball coach and Athletic Director at DMST. I currently coach track while serving as the Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director.
