Denton Magnet School of Technology

On Friday night, several of our Admiral Band 8th graders had the opportunity to perform with the Davidson High School band for their annual invitational game. This helps them get a feel for high school band. They performed in the stands and on the field for pregame. Thank you to DHS and the Sound of Mobile for providing our students with a wonderful night of music! 💙💛⚓️🎼🥁

Peer Helpers at Denton Magnet School of Technology participated in the Coastal Cleanup this past weekend. 10 bags of refuse was collected along with TWO TV’s! Shout out to Girl Scouts of America for hooking us up with t-shirts, patches, and stickers!  Great job Admirals!

Denton Technology Magnet Peer Helpers taught a Suicide Awareness & Prevention lesson to the entire student body. In addition to their lesson, they hosted a table at lunch where students can take a quiz relating to the presentation material and earn a Denton school colors VIP (Value in People) Bracelet. It's a Great Day to be an Admiral!!

Mrs. Harris and her seventh grade ELA students are exploring Written in Bone through scavenger hunts, clue decoding, and poetry writing to develop a deeper understanding of the text. Go Admirals! 💙💛

Denton's Peer Helpers are doing a campaign for National Suicide Prevention Week.
Activities Include:
1.) Lunch time informational table and quiz where students can get our Denton VIP - Value in People bracelets.
2.) Peer Helper will be teaching a lesson through the P.E. classes.
3.) Half out of uniform day on Friday — Wear a Purple or Teal shirt with uniform bottoms and school shoes.

Denton’s award winning History Club is kicking off early this fall. All students interested in joining this year's History Club should attend next week's informational meeting in Dr. Kerr’s room. Meeting will be Wednesday September 10 from 2:45PM to 4:00PM.
