Denton has received a three year grant and partnered with A+ College Ready, a statewide initiative that aims to increase the number of high school graduates prepared for the challenge of college courses through increasing rigor in classrooms in grades 6-11 while expanding access to Advanced Placement (AP*) courses in high school. The purpose of this partnership will be raising academic rigor in the school, training and supporting teachers to facilitate challenging, yet scaffolded, instruction, and to measure student achievement and growth using the PSAT 8/9.

Denton Magnet School of Technology was named the Outstanding Middle School of the Year by the Alabama Technology Student Association for 2020-2021. Our students competed (virtually) in TSA's annual state conference, winning 8 first-place awards, 3 second-place awards, and 3 third-place awards.
