Denton Magnet School of Technology was honored to be named a 2023 School of Excellence by A+ College Ready. Denton Magnet students take the PSAT 8/9. Their baseline score is used to determine the school's growth goal. Denton not only met but exceeded that goal! Denton Magnet's leadership team was also asked to present during the A+ Leadership Institute in a session titled, “Schools that Work”. Denton Magnet said, "We appreciate the support of A+ College Ready and Alabama Department of Education in our focus on “developing the high expectations, skills, and content needed to prepare students for AP and other rigorous coursework…for college, career, and life.”

Denton Magnet was presented with a Rising Star award as one of 13 MCPSS schools whose students showed the most growth on the HMH Math diagnostic. Way to go students and teachers! #AdmiralStrong

Denton has received a three year grant and partnered with A+ College Ready, a statewide initiative that aims to increase the number of high school graduates prepared for the challenge of college courses through increasing rigor in classrooms in grades 6-11 while expanding access to Advanced Placement (AP*) courses in high school. The purpose of this partnership will be raising academic rigor in the school, training and supporting teachers to facilitate challenging, yet scaffolded, instruction, and to measure student achievement and growth using the PSAT 8/9.

Congratulations to our Lady Admirals, Volleyball Champions! Denton Magnet was named MCPSS small school division Champions for 2021-22. Congratulations to Coach Spencer and the Lady Admirals!

Denton Magnet School of Technology was named the Outstanding Middle School of the Year by the Alabama Technology Student Association for 2020-2021. Our students competed (virtually) in TSA's annual state conference, winning 8 first-place awards, 3 second-place awards, and 3 third-place awards.
